This… I’m not sure whether this is the product of Damian’s wishful thinking, or of mine. This was honestly supposed to be something else: Dami falling asleep during patrol, with his head on Steph’s shoulder. Then. This happened. I suppose I just wish veryvery much for Talia to be an awesome mom? Or at least for Dami to HAVE an awesome mom….?
Anyway, what I guess happened is: the baby’s fallen asleep, and imagines mom’s with him. ;_;

#so i’m reading this long ass damian meta post that i’ve been putting off #and in it the author presents their timeline theory #and tbh i assumed damian was ten in all the comics from batman and son on but they said he probably closer to eight #which makes sense considering everything that happens after damian appears #what with bruce dying and all #and remember also that damian said he first met talia when he was eight #and now i’m just thinking of damian meeting his mother for the first time #and then his father #and trying so hard to please and impress them both #’see? i can be useful!’ #’i did my first HALO dive from this height.’ #’i’ve ruined your plans!’ #’mother! look at me!’ #and then he’s so hopeful that they can be a family #and then there’s this torpedo coming and i honestly think he was expecting to die then because he goes RUNNING for talia #and all of that happening at eight years old? #your mother meeting you bc you’re finally useful to her and learning that your parents will never be a family #and being willing to kill and die for your parents #and damian STILL IS willing to do both for them #IT’S JUST SO SAD
